The 2013 Mazda 6 behind the scenes!

Check out this behind the scene look of the upcoming Mazda 6! Mazda's vision for the next-generation 2013 Mazda 6 sedan in the form of this — the new Takeri concept. The next Mazda 6, due on sale in around a year, will benefit from the full array of the Japanese automaker's 'Sky Activ Technology'. That includes new, more efficient gas and diesel engines, compact, lightweight automatic and manual transmissions, new suspension systems and a new modular steel platform.

The Takeri saloon sports the firm's new "Kodo" design language — which the carmaker claims means "Soul of Motion," also seen on the CX-5. The result? As you can see — it's a much bolder, Jaguar XF-like look, than the current-generation 6 four-door.

Strange toilet surprised foreigners in Japan!

Around Tokyo in the Shinjuku area I came across this bar with the weirdest toilet I've ever seen. A giant sumo wrestler's head was the least expected thing, let alone when it started singing and moving towards me ... the guys told me about the male toilet (urinary in the shape of giant lips that moved side to side) but unfortunately didn't record it!

Japanese Scientsts Create Touchable Holograms!

(PhysOrg.com) -- Researchers from the University of Tokyo have developed 3D holograms that can be touched with bare hands. Generally, holograms can't be felt because they're made only of light. But the new technology adds tactile feedback to holograms hovering in 3D space.

Called the Airborne Ultrasound Tactile Display, the hologram projector uses an ultrasound phenomenon called acoustic radiation pressure to create a pressure sensation on a user's hands, which are tracked with two Nintendo Wiimotes. As the researchers explain, the method doesn't use any direct contact and so doesn't dilute the quality of the hologram. The researchers, led by Hiroyuki Shinoda, currently have the technology on display at SIGGRAPH 2009 in New Orleans.

A smartphone touchscreen that recreates the sensation of buttons!

A Japanese company called KDDI has been working on a new technology that combines the elegance of a touchscreen with the sensation of using physical buttons. This new technology is made possible by combining a pressure sensitive touchscreen with tactile feedback technology, which results in the sensation that you’ve actually moved something.

One wonders how the adult entertainment industry will eventually exploit this!

Japan's factories crank-up output!

Recently, Tokyo stocks led Asian markets higher after Japanese manufacturers signaled they are cranking up production; hinting at a possible V-shaped recovery for Japan's economy. Specifically, a V-shaped recovery represents the shape of the chart of certain economic measures, such as employment, GDP and industrial output. A V-shaped recovery involves a sharp decline in these metrics followed by a sharp rise back to its previous peak.

VULKANO FLOW!

The Vulkano Flow enables users to watch their home cable or satellite service over the Internet from anywhere on almost any computer or mobile platform. It also allows users to record content directly to a computer. It supports PC, Mac, iOS, Android, and BlackBerry platforms. The Flow also offers a Wi-Fi connection to a home router, unlike any placeshifting device we've seen before.

The Vulkano Flow provides no Web site access functionality unlike Sling. The Electronic Programming Guide isn't always reliable and we had the beta Mac version of the system's player crash on us a few times. We also wish it had HDMI ports and an editable port assignment for out-of-network access. The mobile apps cost extra, but nowhere near what Slingbox charges.

J-inventors develop remote kissing device!

Here’s how it works: A plastic tube projects out of a device that is connected to a motor, which is then connected to the computer. The person in turn moves the tube with his tongue, which moves the straw on the other end, and vice versa. The researchers claim that this should accurately portray the feeling of a french kiss.

The incident took place during Saturday’s match between Shimizu S-Pulse & Júbilo Iwata. Amazing Japanese Dominos!

PythagoraSwitch (ピタゴラスイッチ, Pitagora Suitchi?) is a 15 minute Japanese educational television program. It encourages augmenting children's "way of thinking" under the supervision of Masahiko Satō (佐藤雅彦?) and Masumi Uchino (内野真澄?). During the beginning, ending, and between each corner (segment), there are Pythagorean Devices (ピタゴラ装置, Pitagora Sōchi?). Pythagorean Devices are known in the US as "Rube Goldberg machines", or in Great Britain as "Heath Robinson" contraptions.

Tell me you are not fascinated by these contraptions:
